Nashville’s hidden food gem on 4th Ave N

“It just feels authentically Al’s”

That’s what I told my food stylist when I shared this project with her. We had just had the greatest day on set full of laughter, music and a little more spice than I could handle on my gravy and biscuits… but the outcome of this shoot just left me in awe. The talent that a good chef holds in their hands and mind of flavor profiles is something that I am honored to be able to put into pictures and share with the world.

To be honest this was just a dream job. No criteria, layouts or boundaries… the goal of this shoot was to just create beautiful imagery and that we did. All that was needed was a good chef, the quick wits and styling talents of Teresa Blackburn and some stunning window light. Mission accomplished.

Big Al’s Deli is hidden away at the end of 4th Avenue and is a true gem in the hustle and ever changing landscape of the Nashville food scene. One of those places you kinda want to keep to yourself, but you can’t help but tell everyone you know about how amazing the food is, and the atmosphere that Al and his son Aj provide.
