Meet Stephanie Mullins, commercial food photographer

Stephanie Mullins Photography

There are three things you should know about Stephanie: She loves food, she loves light and she loves to capture realism.

As a commercial photographer, Stephanie’s goal has always been to combine her three loves when making beautiful imagery for her clients. Stephanie’s images are grounded in enticing the viewer to want to reach into the image and grab the food that has caught their attention.

Shooting locally out of Nashville, Memphis, and Atlanta, she’s your go-to photographer for both in-studio + lifestyle food photography, boasting a solid spectrum of clientele from Cracker Barrel and Margaritaville to smaller local brands.

More about Stephanie…

Stephanie grew up in Tennessee and spent many afternoons with her dad in the woods admiring nature. Chasing the light as it hit all of the different elements of the forest. Many years later, Stephanie thought her calling was to be a wildlife photographer and so pursued her photography degree at Middle Tennessee State University. Eager to learn more while doing her degree she began interning for Southern Living Magazine. It was there Stephanie found her true calling ~ Food Photography ~. She realized while working at a magazine that creating beautiful imagery didn’t have to come with a huge setup. Rather, a quick eye, some good light… and of course beautiful food.

For the last two decades Stephanie has been creating beautiful imagery for brands and agencies both big and small with the exact same intention as day 1 in her career, “To create images that look so authentically scrumptious you just want to eat it.”

In recent years, Stephanie has evolved her style further and lent into more lifestyle forward stories on top of her already beautiful tabletop stills. Whether she’s in the home studio or ankle-deep in grass on a farm, one thing holds true and that’s her excitement to deliver.

Beyond everything else, Stephanie’s thoughtfulness to her projects and her clients can be seen through her years of work working with her regulars to continue to evolve their brands and the foods they share.
